How to Set Up an Email Signature

Create a new email signature or import an existing one into Superchat.

Written by Fabian Wernecke

Your email signature appears at the bottom of every email sent from Superchat, helping you maintain a consistent, professional appearance. There are two ways to set one up — create a new one from scratch, or bring in a signature you already use.

Option 1: Create a new signature

Use HubSpot's free Email Signature Generator to build a polished signature in minutes.

  1. Fill in your details in the left column (name, role, contact info).

  2. Customise the design to match your brand.

  3. Click Create Email Signature.

  4. Click Copy Signature Code.

  5. In Superchat, go to Settings → Inboxes & Channels and select the inbox linked to your email address.

  6. Scroll down and paste the source code into the Email Signature section, then press Save at the bottom.

Note: If you also want to use the signature in your external inbox (Outlook, Gmail, etc.), go back to the generator and click Copy Signature instead — this gives you a version formatted for external mail clients.

Option 2: Import an existing signature

Already have a signature set up in your external inbox? You can bring it into Superchat by converting it to HTML first.

  1. Open your external email inbox and go to your signature settings.

  2. Copy your existing signature.

  3. Paste it into the Visual Editor at wordtohtml.net.

  4. Copy the generated code from the HTML Editor field.

  5. In Superchat, go to Settings → Inboxes & Channels and select the inbox linked to your email address.

  6. Scroll down and paste the source code into the Email Signature section, then press Save at the bottom.
