Edit a contact
Updating contacts work the same in the unified inbox and the contact hub. Hence, we mainly stick to the example from the contact hub in this guide but it equally applies to editing contacts from the unified inbox.

Bulk editing contacts
Bulk editing contacts is available in the contact hub only.
1. In the Contact Hub, select multiple contacts by:
Clicking the checkboxes next to each contact, or
Using Shift + Click: select the first contact, hold Shift, then click the last one to select all contacts in between.
2. Click Edit.
3. You can bulk-edit all contact attributes (system and custom) for the selected contacts, and update multiple attributes at once.
Edit primary email address & phone number
A contact can have multiple email addresses and phone numbers.
The first shown email and phone number are always marked as primary.
The primary details are used for communication in automations and campaigns.
Important: If a phone number or email address is already linked to an existing conversation, it cannot be edited or deleted. You must first delete the conversation before changing or removing that detail.
