What do WhatsApp conversations cost?
As of 01.07.25, Meta charges per delivered WhatsApp template and no longer per initiated conversation.
Note: Utility templates will remain free as long as the response is within the 24-hour window (Customer Care Window).
Meta calculates costs based on the category of the template (utility or marketing) as well as the country code of the recipients.
What are the categories for WhatsApp templates?
At Superchat, two categories of WhatsApp templates are used. These differ in price depending on the country code of your customers.
Here are the prices for sending templates to customers in the UK as of 10th June, 2025:

How much of a bonus is included in my plan?
Superchat offers customers a monthly bonus for WhatsApp conversation cost. This bonus is free and aims to offset the new costs from Meta for small and medium-sized businesses.
The business-initiated conversations bonus varies by plan and is given in euros.
