Understanding recipient limits
Understanding recipient limits
The number of recipients you can reach is tied to three factors:
1. Your Superchat plan
Without WhatsApp Newsletter add-on (max. 100 contacts per campaign)
With WhatsApp Newsletter add-on (max. 10,000 contacts per campaign)
2. Your WhatsApp budget
Each sent campaign message incurs WhatsApp costs. Check before sending whether sufficient budget is available. You can increase the budget in Settings under Plan & Billing.
3. Your Meta messaging limit (tier)
Meta limits how many messages you can send per 24 hours - depending on your WhatsApp number's tier:
Tier 1: 1.000
Tier 2: 10.000
Tier 3: 100.000
Tier 4: Unlimited
How to move up in tier:
Exhaust your current limit once
Keep your number quality (Health Score) high
After 24 hours, your limit is automatically increased
Where do you see your current tier?
Under Settings → Inboxes → Select WhatsApp channel

Filters for recipients
Filters for recipients
Filters for recipients
Use filters to select exactly the right recipients. You can combine and nest filters with AND/OR logic:
Example:
Contact lists contains at least all of these: "WhatsApp Opt-In"
AND Contact lists contains at least all of these: "VIP Customers"
AND City contains: "Berlin"
This way you reach exactly the target group you want to address.
Static vs. Dynamic recipient list
Static vs. Dynamic recipient list
At the top right, you can choose between two types:
Static recipient list: You select specific contacts (Contact A, B, and C). The list is fixed - even if more contacts sign up later, they won't be added.
Dynamic recipient list: You define filter conditions (e.g., "is in VIP contact list" AND "is in WhatsApp Opt-In contact list"). All contacts that meet these conditions are included.
When to use dynamic?
Dynamic recipient lists are especially useful when you're scheduling a campaign for a later time. This way, contacts who sign up between creation and sending are automatically included.
Black Friday example:
Monday: You create the campaign and schedule it for Friday 8:00 AM
Tuesday to Thursday: 50 more contacts sign up for the newsletter
Friday 8:00 AM: The campaign is sent - including the 50 new contacts
Perfect for campaigns on holidays or weekends - you don't have to be active yourself on the sending day.
Automation (optional)
Here you can link an automation that starts after the campaign is sent - e.g., to respond to replies or button clicks.
→ Learn more in the article Automations for campaigns
Send options
When do you want to send the campaign?
Send immediately: The campaign is sent directly after clicking "Send".
Select time: Schedule your campaign for a later time. Select date and time.
Tip: Combine scheduled sending with dynamic recipient list for maximum reach with time-controlled campaigns.

Before you can send, you must confirm that you have the consent of the selected contacts to contact them with the selected content.
