Zapier: HubSpot - Contact Synchronisation from HubSpot to Superchat

Learn how to use Zapier to automatically sync contacts created or updated in HubSpot to Superchat, keeping both platforms up to date without manual data entry.

Written by Michelelia

Use case: You manage your contacts in HubSpot and want any new or updated contacts to automatically appear in Superchat, so your team can message them without having to add them manually.

Instructions

  1. Create a new Zap in Zapier.

  2. Choose Contact Recently Created or Updated in Hubspot as the trigger and then add the action Find a Contact in Superchat.

    1. Select Phone Number and add the phone number of the new or updated contact in Hubspot.

    2. For Successful if no search results are found? Select True (so automation will continue, even if nothing is found in HubSpot).

  3. In the next action, Create a Path.

  4. Then create a Path rule for Path A (Create Contact) and select Custom Rules. Choose Zap Search Was Found Status and then Boolean is false.

  5. Choose Create Contact in Superchat as last action of this path:

    1. You can then specify in the node which data you want to create the contact in Superchat, e.g. First name, Last Name & Phone Number.

  6. Create a Path rule for Path B and select Custom Rules. Choose Zap search status was found and then Boolean is true.

  7. Choose Update Contact in Superchat as the last step of this path:

    1. In the node, you can then also specify here as well which data you want to update the contact in HubSpot.

Do you also need to sync contacts in the other direction?

This article covers syncing contacts from HubSpot to Superchat. If your team also creates contacts directly in Superchat — for example, when customers message you via WhatsApp — and you want those to appear in HubSpot automatically, you will need a second Zap for the reverse direction.
