How to add an Instagram channel to an inbox
Open Settings → Inboxes → The inbox you would like to connect the channel to → Instagram direct messages
If an Instagram channel already exists: click “Add another channel” and select Instagram Direct Messages.
Click Connect.
Log in with the Facebook account that manages your Facebook page(s) and the connected Instagram accounts and Click Continue
Select the Facebook page(s) you want to connect to Superchat and click Continue.
Select the corresponding Business Manager and click Continue.
Choose the Instagram account(s) you want to link and click Continue.
Click Got it to continue.
Then press Connect (or reconnect) to finalise the connection.
After that, click Finish and the setup flow is complete.
How to add a brand new Instagram account
If you want to link an Instagram account to Superchat that is brand new to your Business Portfolio or is connected to a different Facebook Page than the one previously selected, you can click on Edit previous settings when adding the new account.
Select any new Instagram pages that have been connected to your Meta Business account and press Continue.
Then select which businesses they should be connected to.
Select the new Instagram account again, then press Continue and follow the flow again until completion (making sure to select the Instagram account you want to connect whenever it pops up).
If you have changed your Instagram password
If you update the password for your connected Instagram account, you need to verify the new login credentials in your Meta Business account. If this step is skipped, Meta may mark the connection as inactive.
Go to Meta Business Suite and click on Settings.
Go to Accounts → Instagram Accounts and select your Instagram account.
If Meta requires verification, you’ll see a Log in or Reconnect button next to the account. Simply click it and log in with the new Instagram password.
