Setting up your AI Agent with Wavenet

Learn how to connect your AI Agent to Wavenet, built on the Gamma Horizon platform.

Written by Inka Seidel

This guide explains how to connect your AI Agent to Wavenet.

Good to know: Wavenet's phone system is powered by Gamma's Horizon platform, the same underlying platform used by several other UK telecoms providers. The steps below use Horizon's own terminology.

Basic setup

  1. In Superchat, under your AI Agent's phone settings, enter the Superchat number that should be the destination of the forward.

  2. Set up call forwarding in Horizon to this Superchat number (see below).

  3. Test the forwarding with a real call before going live.

Setting it up via the web portal

  1. Log in to your Wavenet/Horizon portal and go to Users → List Users.

  2. Locate the user you want to set up forwarding for and click Edit.

  3. Click the Call Setup tab, then under Incoming Calls, select Call Handling.

  4. Set When I'm Busy or When I Don't Answer to forward to the Superchat number.

Setting it up via short codes (on the phone)

Horizon also supports feature access codes that can be dialled directly on the handset:

  • *72 — activate Call Forwarding Always (forwards every call, immediately)

  • *73 — deactivate Call Forwarding Always

  • *90 — activate Call Forward Busy

  • *91 — deactivate Call Forward Busy

  • *92 — activate Call Forward No Answer

After dialling the activation code, you'll typically be prompted to enter the destination number, in this case the Superchat number.

Call Forwarding Always overrides every other forwarding rule. If this is active, no other forwarding condition (busy, no answer) will apply until it's deactivated.
