This guide explains how to connect your AI Agent to an Ericsson-LG (iPECS) phone system.
Basic setup
In Superchat, under your AI Agent's phone settings, enter the Superchat number that should be the destination of the forward.
Set up call forwarding on your iPECS system to this Superchat number (see below).
Test the forwarding with a real call before going live.
Setting it up directly on the phone
Lift the handset, or press the Speaker button.
Press the FWD soft-key (on some models, press the right arrow first to reveal it, or dial the feature code 501).
Select the forward type:
1 — Unconditional Forward (all calls)
2 — Busy Forward
3 — No Answer Forward
4 — Busy/No Answer Forward
Enter the Superchat number as the destination.
To cancel an existing forward, press # at the forward-type step.
iPECS Cloud (web portal)
If you're on iPECS Cloud rather than an on-premise system:
Log in to the iPECS Cloud User Portal.
Expand My Phone & Features and click Call Forward.
Click Modify, select the forward type you need (Unconditional, Busy, No Answer, or Busy/No Answer), and enter the Superchat number as the destination.
Note on caller ID (SIP lines): on some iPECS setups using SIP trunks, the forwarded call may show your own business number rather than the original caller's number, unless the SIP trunk configuration is specifically adjusted to pass the original caller ID through. If this happens, ask your iPECS installer or provider to check the outbound SIP presentation settings.
Exact menu wording can vary between iPECS models (e.g. LIP-8000 series, eMG80, UCP series) and firmware versions. If a step doesn't match your phone, your iPECS installer or Ericsson-LG support can confirm the exact path for your model.
