Setting up Gmail: How to Connect Gmail Emails with Superchat?

Step-by-step guide:

Connecting Gmail with Superchat involves 3 steps:

1. Activate IMAP in Gmail

2. Create an App Password for your Google account

3. Connect Gmail with Superchat

1. Activate IMAP in Gmail

1. Log in to Gmail

2. Click on Settings in the top right corner

3. Click on See all settings

4. Click on Forwarding & POP/IMAP

5. Click on Enable IMAP

   

6. Click on Save Changes

   IMAP is now enabled 👍

2. Create a Google Account App Password

1. Click on your Google profile

2. Click on Manage your Google Account

3. On the left side, click on Security

4. Scroll down and check if two-step verification is enabled

   

5. If two-step verification is not enabled, click the button, sign in, and enable two-step verification

6. Now, go back one step

7. Click on App passwords

8. Sign in again

9. Now, create a new app password under Other

   1. 💡Tip: Name the password something like Superchat

10. Click on Generate

     

    Save the created password in a secure place 👍

3. Connect Gmail with Superchat

1. In Superchat, go to Settings and then to Inboxes

2. Select the corresponding inbox

3. Click on Add

4. Choose Email

5. Then click on IMAP/SMTP

   

6. Press Save

7. Enter the required information.

8. Enter the App Password for the password

9. Save & done! 👏"
