This guide explains how to connect your AI Agent to IPCortex.
Basic setup
In Superchat, under your AI Agent's phone settings, enter the Superchat number that should be the destination of the forward.
Set up call forwarding on your IPCortex system to this Superchat number (see below).
Test the forwarding with a real call before going live.
General approach
IPCortex systems support a default forward permission per extension, configured by an administrator. On most PBX systems of this type, forwarding can typically be set either directly on the handset (using a forward feature key or code), or through the system's own web-based admin interface.
Honest note: we don't currently have publicly documented, specific step-by-step instructions for IPCortex's exact web portal navigation for setting up external call forwarding. Please contact your IPCortex installer, reseller, or IPCortex support directly to confirm the precise steps for your system and firmware version.
Note on caller ID with SIP providers
If your IPCortex system connects to your SIP trunk provider with a specific "INVITE Format" setting, make sure it's configured to pass through the original caller's number correctly (some providers require this set to something like DDI:International). Your SIP provider's own support can confirm the correct setting if calls are arriving at Superchat without the real caller's number.
