Superchat's file feature works like a shared drive. Files in Superchat are your team’s shared space for the documents and materials you use most often in customer conversations - like sales brochures, product sheets, support guides, or contract templates.
Why should I use shared files?
Use files in Superchat to:
Make files accessible to your whole team directly in the Unified Inbox.
Quickly share or access files during customer conversations without leaving Superchat.
Who can view files and use the Superchat Drive?
Role | Permission |
Admins | Upload, view, and delete files from the drive |
Supervisor | View files from the drive |
Member | View files from the drive |
Create & Manage files
To upload and organise files:
1. Go to Settings → Files
2. Click Upload File.
3. Choose a file, give it a name, and optionally assign it to a folder (or create one).
4. Save it — the file will now be available to your entire team in the Unified Inbox.
Files can be organised into folders, with up to two levels of nesting (folder → subfolder).
All uploaded files are available in the chat controller (the same place you’d normally add a local attachment via the paperclip icon).
