Introduction

A WhatsApp list can be used as part of an automation.

What makes a WhatsApp list special is that you can add a button to your message. When your contact clicks on it, they can choose from up to 10 options. If your contact selects one of these options, they send the chosen sentence or word.

Step-by-step guide

  1. First, create an automation in Superchat.

  2. Add another step to the automation after the trigger and select "WhatsApp List".

  3. Fill the content of the WhatsApp list with a message and assign a text for the button.

  4. Under "Options," you can set up up to 10 selection choices within the WhatsApp list.

  5. In the advanced settings, you can configure how many hours the user's input remains valid. This can be useful if you want to send a reminder to the user after 23 hours if they haven't responded to your message.

  6. If you want, you can set up different next steps within the automation by clicking on the respective circle in the automation and defining the next step using drag and drop.

Important notes & limitations

  • A WhatsApp list can only be sent within an automation if the last message from your contact was less than 24 hours ago. If it has been longer, you must use a WhatsApp template.

  • If a contact selects an option within the WhatsApp list and later decides on a different option, they will not automatically be brought back to the step in the automation.
